Junction 48 – film about Palestinian-Israeli rapper

April 6, 2017 @ 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm

Jewish Voice for Peace and local partners are gearing up to screen the film Junction 48. The film is a semi-biographical account of the early career of Tamer Nafar, a rapper from the Palestinian group DAM, who is a Palestinian citizen of Israel. The film chronicles his struggles living under occupation inside Israel, from demolitions of friends’ houses to confiscated family property to encounters with nationalistic Israeli rappers and musicians.

The screening will take place on Thursday, April 6th at 6:30pm at the AMC Cherry Creek 8 theater, located inside the Cherry Creek Mall. The film will be followed with a short Q &A: Cherry Creek Shopping Center, 3000 E 1st Ave, Denver, CO 80206

We are using a free service to screen the film, called Tugg. Tugg’s model is that we have to do the outreach necessary to fill the theater. Please note that the screening will not happen unless we confirm 84 more people will attend and purchase a ticket.
