Community Climate Courage – Conversation Host prep session
November 1, 2015 @ 2:00 pm - 4:30 pm
This will be a lively, hands-on practice session for those interested in volunteering as a “conversation host/partner” for one of the small-group break-out discussions after our film screening on Nov. 8. We will use video, role-playing and other research-based resources to help us identify tips, tricks and best practices for good climate change communication. All are welcome – no facilitator skills/experience necessary! Stay for a friendly open networking session afterwards, with refreshments, from from 4:30 – 5:00 p.m.
LOCATION: Washington Park United Church of Christ, 400 S Williams St., Denver (one block south of Alameda, about half-way between University Blvd and Downing) Come in the main doors at the top of the steps and look for signs for the event.

Background:
It’s real, it’s serious and we all know it. But we’re not talking about it with friends and family.
We believe that direct, refreshing, peer-to-peer conversations that spark warmth and human connection between concerned individuals in a safe setting can radically transform the way we feel about engaging with climate change.
Come watch and discuss the brand-new release of Naomi Klein’s film, THIS CHANGES EVERYTHING: CAPITALISM VS THE CLIMATE. Make new friends and forge new alliances! Meet leaders from local organizations that are taking action on climate change NOW, and urgently need your help!
