Gaza: A Nurse’s Account of Working with Doctors Without Borders

September 3, 2014 @ 5:30 pm - 7:30 pm

Gaza: A Nurse’s Account of Working with Doctors Without Borders/Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF)
A Discussion with Sarah Woznick

Sarah Woznick is an intensive care nurse who left the University of Colorado Hospital in January 2014 to work with Doctors Without Borders/Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) in Gaza. Israel’s Operation Protective Edge began on July 8, one day before what should have been the last day of her assignment. Sarah decided to stay to support the MSF team during the Israeli military campaign against Gaza.

In this presentation, co-sponsored by the Center for Middle East Studies & the Global Health Affairs Program, Woznick will describe her experiences working with the MSF team in response to a humanitarian crisis.

The event is free and open to the public. Light refreshments will be served before the presentation begins.

For more information, visit the Facebook event page. You can learn more about Sarah Woznick, her experience with MSF, and Gaza crisis in a blog post she wrote in July.
