Keep FOSSIL FUELS in the ground
November 12, 2015 @ 8:00 am - 10:00 am
Tell BLM: Don’t frack public lands
The Bureau of Land Management is going to auction off 90,000 acres of our public lands to the highest bidder for fracking, mining and drilling on Thursday, November 12, 2015 in Lakewood. The area to be auctioned includes the Pawnee National Grasslands and portions of Weld and Las Animas Counties.
Stop the corporate privitization of our most incredible resources. Stop oil and gas companies from destroying our neighborhoods, health, communities and climate. Have your voice heard: tell the BLM, frackers and the Obama Administration to cancel the leases! Stop corporate control of our public lands.
To keep fossil fuels in the ground, we are asking President Obama to step up to the plate and make consistent his commitments on climate change and his current policies. By ending this outdated program, Obama could keep 450 billion tons of greenhouse gas emissions out of the air. We are going to start by putting pressure directly on the agency that runs this outdated program!
