My Name is Rachel Corrie

A one woman show about a young American Peace Activist’s quest for justice in Palestine

Coloradans for Justice in Palestine is pleased to present two showing of My Name is Rachel Corrie, November 16th @ 7:00pm and November 18th at 7:30 with a Theater of the Oppressed Workshop on Tuesday from 4:00pm-6:00pm.  The workshop is free and all the proceeds from the performances go to help support The Freedom Theater in Jenin and Coloradans for Justice in Palestine.

The one woman show, My Name is Rachel Corrie, was edited from the original writings of Corrie and edited by actor Alan Rickman and journalist Katherine Viner. The play chronicles the life of the American Peace Activist who traveled to Gaza in 2003 with the ISM to defend Palestinian homes from being demolished. She was killed on March 16th of that year by an Israeli bulldozer while protecting a host family’s house from being destroyed.
