The Struggle for Peace in Palestine in the Era of Donald Trump:  Where Do We Go from Here?

The inauguration of Donald Trump as the 45^th President of the United States is an ominous development for our world. It will bring to power the most extreme and hawkish set of political actors whose views on international affairs make the Bush Administration neo-conservatives look tame by comparison.

What do we know about their views on the Middle East, the Israel-Palestine conflict in particular? How might a new US Foreign Policy toward the region look like under Donald Trump and his closest advisors (Steven Bannon, Jared Kushner, James Mattis and Michael Flynn)?

This talk will ruminate on these questions with a specific focus on how proponents of a just and lasting peace in Israel/Palestine should respond to this inauspicious development in American politics.
